OncoDay

Bringing together the basic and translational research ecosystem of Basel

The Basel OncoDay is a dynamic one-day conference organized by the Focal Area Research in Oncology (FARO) research network. This flagship annual event brings together leading academic researchers, clinicians, and biotech / pharmaceutical innovators in the field of Oncology. Designed to spark collaboration and knowledge exchange, the OncoDay Basel bridges clinical and molecular oncology research across the Basel region, while offering young scientists the opportunity to present their work in front of a large and diverse audience. Additionally, the Dora Seif Prizes for basic and translational research are awarded during the OncoDay, and accompanied by a keynote lecture from both recipients. Finally, the OncoDay strives to give voice to patient advocates which are invited each year to share their experience as patients suffering from cancer.

A research day for young scientists

The Basel OncoDay offers young scientists a unique platform to showcase their work, exchange ideas, and connect with experts in the field. Each year between 10 to 15 PhDs candidates and post-doc are selected for a short talk followed by a Q&A session from the audience.
